A new event that confirms the city of Turin’s vocation for innovation: the first edition of the POPULAR DIGITAL FESTIVAL kicks off on Friday 7 October 2022, organised by the Fondazione Italia Digitale, which until Sunday 9 brings together personalities and experts under the Mole – between Cap10100 and the Lavazza Nuvola – to discuss the role and impact of digital technology in the daily lives of citizens.

THE MANIFESTO
The Festival’s poster is signed by Josephine Yole Signorelli, aka Fumettibrutti, one of the best authors on the Italian comics scene. Born in Catania in 1991, she has won the admiration of the public and the acclaim of comic and, more generally, literary critics with texts and drawings that tell her and her generation’s stories in an original and unsettling way.
In the poster donated to the Festival – thanks to the collaboration with Etna Comics – a female figure with a smartphone in her hand and a virtual reality visor leans against the Mole Antonelliana, Turin’s symbolic monument. Her gaze, however, is turned towards us, almost inquisitive. The green colour of the background tells of fluidity, the sense of blending: yellow and blue are in fact the colours of the city, which together create green.
Josephine Yole Signorelli, a.k.a. Fumettibrutti, published for Feltrinelli Comics the trilogy Romanzo esplicito (2018), P. La mia adolescenza trans (2019) and Anestesia (2020) She also participated in the anthology Post Pink. An Anthology of Feminist Comics (2019) and edited Dirty and Now (2020). His works have won several awards, including the Micheluzzi Prize for Best First Work at Napoli Comicon, the Cecchetto Prize for Best Emerging Talent at the Treviso Comic Book Festival, and the Gran Guinigi as Best Newcomer at Lucca Comics & Games.
